On the M-Stein website, you will choose the specific set you prefer — 1, 2 or 3 animals, plus the corresponding N2 carving knife.

The N2 is a basic carving knife with a short blade for increased control. It is suitable for beginners, and for children only under adult supervision.

The blank is made of soft, easy-to-carve linden wood. For tighter curves, consider pairing your set with the N10 or N6 knives.

For best carving results, follow the direction of the wood fibers. Cutting against the grain makes the wood tear and reduces precision. Store the knife in a dry place, and maintain the edge using fine sharpening stones and polishing compound.
